Teaching Experience

Taught English at the Undergraduate level for sixteen years and at present from July 2013, till date is in the management and administrative sector of the college as the Coordinator of IQAC.

Seminars/ Conference/ Symposia/ Extension Programmes

  • Presented paper on “Significance of Indigenous Education with reference to the Khasi Tribe” in Global Conference on Education organised by University of California, Riverside on 10th and 11th of August, 2017.
  • Delivered the keynote address at the One – Day Workshop on Preservation of Vulnerable and Endangered Heritage organised by Thomas Jones Synod College, Jowai in collaboration with INTACH, Meghalaya Chapter on the 15th November, 2019.
  • Coordinated the One – Day Workshop on Scientific Preservation of Indigenous Languages organised by the Department of Cultural and Creative Studies, NEHU, Shillong in collaboration with INTACH, Meghalaya Chapter on the 22nd November, 2019
  • Presented paper on “Inequality in the Distribution of School Resources: Barrier to Inclusivity in Rural School in India” at the 14th International Technology, Education and Development Conference held in Valencia, Spain, on the 2nd - 4th March, 2020
  • Presented paper at International Conference jointly organized by Universities of Melbourne, Toronto and Delhi.
  • Completed two UGC sponsored Refresher Courses for three weeks duration, conducted by NEHU and was awarded, 'A' Grade in both.
  • Completed one UGC sponsored Refresher Course of three weeks duration conducted by Central Institute of English & Foreign Languages Regional Centre Shillong.
  • Completed one month Orientation programme at ASC Guwahati University. Awarded 'A' Grade.
  • Completed two week course conducted by Ministry of Human Resource Development , Government of India.
  • Completed two months course on Basic Computer Applications conducted by IQAC of Lady Keane College.
  • Attended Seminars and Workshops organized by Sahitya Academy, NEN, British Council, Haggai, NEC.
  • Presented paper at the Citizen’s Conference on Security of Women and Gender Related issues on the 15th of January, 2013.
  • Convener and presented the keynote address at ICARE’s Conference on Environmental Issues held in July, 2013.
  • Presented Paper at All India Tribal Students Association National Seminar.
  • Organised seminars, workshops and conferences at the regional, national and international levels.
  • Raised funding from various agencies for programs organised.
  • Coordination and management of human resources in the college, which include students, faculty of seventeen departments and non-teaching staff.

  • Awarded book contract to write on,Khasi Cuisine, from INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

  • Facilitated programs and workshops for students and faculty and non teaching faculty.
