Lady College Library was established in 1935 right from the inception of the college. It has a separate building and the area of the Library (in sq mts) is 50x40 ft. The total seating capacity of the Library is 95. Library does have an Advisory committee consisting of a convener and six other members. Its main responsibility is to provide the students and faculty members with a good and functional Library. Library is up-to-date, well-lighted, pleasant, quiet and well-stocked with books that the students and faculty members can use them easily. The collection of books is more than 36,000 and subscribe to National and Foreign Journals, also Local and National newspapers.

The Library purchases books, important journals and other reading materials on the recommendation made by the various departments of the college and suggestions made by fellow lecturers and students. The Library is computerized and provided with two monitors: one is placed at the counter to serve the needs of the students and the other with the Librarian to monitor. A notice board displays the facilities, timings and rules of the Library. The Internet facility has been provided from September 2002. The facility is open from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. for the students and the faculty members. Library is also imparting internship for M.L.I.Sc. NEHU pass out students since 2010. In 2010-11 the internship program was for three months and from the year 2012 it is for one month only. Free internet facility has been provided to the students since the year 2011 and continues to be the same. Reprographic facility has also been provided to the students with a nominal charge. CCTV has also been installed in the Library since the year 2012. Bar Coding System in the Library has been installed. Biometrics/ smart card system has been implemented.

Electronic resources are resources that require computer access or any electronic products that deliver a collection of data, be it referring to full text bases, electronic books and journals, image, collections and other multimedia products.
